Sorry folks – can’t blog this morning. I have a bunch of things I need to get done before leaving for work. All is fine here …..

First the good news – Today (Wed, 31-Oct) is Thasya’s birthday. She’s now 14 YO. Seems like it was only yesterday when I first met her in 2001. She was very small, shy, afraid of many things, unable to speak English. She is quite the opposite now in many ways. [...]

Still trying to figure out the numbers …. but, for the avoidance of doubt – all is fine right now …. other than a few glitches on the laptop that I need work on.

David and Janet Lofquist (our US friends currently working in Sakhalin Russia) are here. In a few minutes I take them to the airport. They will go sailing and snorkeling for 12 days then return on Friday the 9th … spend the weekend with us then … and go back to Russia.
