The Short and Long of It

This week is going to be a short week … at least per the calendar – Thursday and Friday are holidays. BUT, workwise, I will be incredibly busy all three (M-W) days and then again over the weekend. Then, on Saturday, Decy and the girls will leave for Bali. Sadly, I cannot go. I have to go to Aceh on Monday. But, we all return to Jakarta on Thursday the 27th …. and on the 28th Chely has her US Embasssy / VISA interview.

The weekend had some highlights … including getting to see Thasya in her play at school … and spending a little extra time with Decy. BUT, it was overpowered by the many events going on.

I tried to leave work early on Friday only to get caught by a small emergency as I was walking out the door (literally). That cost me several hours, and didn’t leave until 630pm. Then, before I even got home, I received a phone call from a friend from Singapore who was in town. Decy and I changed our “stay at home” plans …. and met them that evening. We got home around 130am and went to sleep around 3am.

Got up on Saturday (rear-end dragging) and tried to get some things done, only to receive a call from the office activating our emergency warden system. I then spent 3 hours of MY Saturday trying to find business visitors who were enjoying THEIR Saturday. WHAT A WASTE !!! Finally quit at 3pm … and then at 5pm went to Thasya’s play.

After the play, I worked until 1am trying to (and making) Chely’s and Decy’s flight reservations to the US in June … then crashed.

On Sunday, I worked most of the day on office stuff … finally quitting about 6pm … did karoke for an hour, ate dinner, then watched a movie with Decy until 1130am.

And, here I am bright eyed and bushy tailed (NOT !!!) ready to work at 417am.

Have many things to do this morning … soooooo ….

ciao ciao
