I’m a bit slow today … after having spent a wonderful evening with Decy celebrating our 5th wedding anniversary. However, I do want to take a few moments to wish my wonderful wife Decy – HAPPY ANNIVERSARY !!!!

Yesterday was a bit hectic for both of us … me getting up at my usual 330am … and working emails around 4am …. to Decy’s needing to take Chely clothes shopping before she leaves for the US. We finally met up about 6pm and promptly went to Lan Nai Thai – our favorite Thai restaurant in Jakarta. On the way, I gave Decy her presents – a necklace and earrings … pearls.

In the restaurant we had a couple of cocktails and then went upstairs for dinner. As is usually our pattern, Decy ordered the food and I ordered the wine – that is, we played to our strengths. We had Tom Yam (spicy shrimp) soup, a glass noodle with shrimp salad, mixed vegetables, grilled shrimp, grilled fish, white rice (this was Decy’s contribution). My contribution was a very nice bottle of Italian red wine labled Amarone. It was out of this world – full bodied, fruity, but not heavy. After dinner we had two glasses each (tiny glasses) of port.

Decy’s contribution to the bill last night was $50. My contribution was $150. He he he ….

We spent the evening talking about many things, family, work, life, God ….. then we went home. I think I fell asleep sometime around 11pm. Earlier in the week we had talked about going out clubbing last night – but I had told Decy that what I really wanted was some quiet moments with her … that is what we did … and I am thankful for that.

And, with that note … I need to close this blog to work on some other things.
