Back From Aceh
I have safely and successfully completed my quick turn around trip to Aceh. I had thought the trip would primarily be a waste of my time (1.5 days out of the office just to give a 3 hour training session). But, it turns out that God had other things in mind. It was actually a very good trip and I had a lot of “think time”. PTL.
My trip to Houston has been pulled down because of Hurricane Ike. The city is still a mess and our offices are not fully functioning. Thus, they cancelled the conference I was supposed to participate in. And, travel to Houston is now restricted … so, I had to cancel my other meetings. I can handle the change and will adjust my work plans accordingly. I have a great deal of work to do …. so the cancellation (in some ways) is also a blessing.
I also decided to take advantage of finally having an “open weekend” (that is, I don’t have to work a “6th” day either in the office or on disaster recovery) and to go to church with Decy. It will be a service in Bahasa … but it is something I want to do. I believe that God is doing something positive in Decy’s and my lives and I have sensed that for a few months …. of course, that also means that the devil will go on the attack. Thus, I would appreciate all the prayers we can get.
As for me, health-wise, I think I am gradually improving. The aches and pains are residing … although my back does stiffen up from time-to-time and my legs feel fatigued. I have about 2-3 more days of antibiotics. After that, we shall see what happens. Oddly, I still have the low grade headache right above my left temple – that has me a bit concerned.
Well, I need to close this blog … I still haven’t unpacked from the trip (need to move work stuff from my backpack to my office bag) … and soon I will need to leave for work.
ciao ciao

Glad to hear your travels went well and that you are safe!
