Old Man Morgan

I’ve been tracking Decy’s travel for nearly 48 hours. She is now in Chicago – its snowing. All going well, she and Thasya board the plane in about 75 minutes. Just talked to Decy and she said that the monitor is showing the plane “on time.” Hopefully, that is true. She says that her body is sore and tired – and that she wants to go to sleep. Told her that she needed to get up and walk around a bit, which she said she would do. I am going to eat a quick breakfast – check on some things – then call her back before I go to work to make sure she is still awake. By the time I call her back, she should be only 30 minutes from boarding.

Decy said that Thasya is doing well and looks great (that is youth for you). Decy said they have had a good time talking. As it turns out, one of Thasya’s classmates was also flying to Chicago … so that makes for an interesting story. On a positive note, not much turbulence on the flights. On the negative side, the Hong Kong to Chicago leg was a bit of a bummer with an elderly lady next to them that kept bumping/hitting them as she moved around her arms, legs, etc.

All going well, Decy and Thasya will arrive in Tampa just before 9pm … but then they have to get their luggage and go on a 1 hr drive up to Spring Hill. They will check into the hotel probably around 11-1130pm – poor girls will be exhausted.

As for Chely – I have been following her travels and exchanging emails with her for the last 10 hours. Last I heard from her, she was in Atlanta and was getting ready to board the flight for Tampa. Said all was fine. Said she really enjoyed the snow up in New York …. just didn’t like the cold. He he he. Unfortunately, Chely will have to get her luggage and wait for a couple of hours at the Tampa airport. However, she is now almost a “travelling expert” so she should be able to manage.

Obviously, based on the circumstances, you can appreciate that I have had precious little sleep lately. Between trying to make sure that Decy/Thasya didn’t get confused about the time change in Singapore (and ensure they didn’t miss their flight) – to tracking their travels – I have been on the computer for quite some time. Did get a bit of broken sleep last night …. say 4 hours …. with about 3 or 4 interruptions.

Other than the above, there really isn’t anything to “write home about” …. thus, I will close this blog.
