Whew – I feel so Disjointed Right Now

Although very busy and moving forward, everything seems out of whack. Can’t seem to get any rhythm on the home front. Tuesday night I did house sitting again. And tonight (Thursday) I need to meet a friend at the Shangri-La to pick up a Christmas present. When I am home, it is a blur RE what I need to do … and I keep forgetting some key things. For example: I have a $7,400 IRS check in my brief case that Decy needs to sign so that I can deposit into our account (not a minor item, right?)

Work is hectic with SAP Go Live. We are making good progress. So far, no major issue but lots of business-related process changes. Helping the users make these changes is a major effort and a key focus area of mine. Some are small changes (such as how to file paperwork after completing a transaction on line) to larger changes such as rolling out a new travel expense reporting system that supports the new account codes.

It is now clearly rainy season here. Over the weekend the amount and steadiness of rain has grown. During the week it has rained daily with some local flooding. The ground is now saturated and the retaining dams to the south are full. If and when they open the “sluice gates” to drain some of the dams is when the real (signficant) flooding can begin. Today will be a key day. If rainfall is low, they can release water without causing extensive flooding. If rainfall is high, the water release will compound the issue.

Decy and I are quickly assembling plans for an extended weekend trip with mom (22-27 Jan). We plan to go to Jogyakarta and Bali. Hotel and plane reservations have been made … just need to finalize, pay, and organize (not a simple task right now).

Grandma Suzie is doing fine …. getting to see lots of stuff (in spite of the rain) … doing some shopping … getting some new experiences. I think we are wearing her out during the day …. he he he.

Gotta run.

ciao ciao
