Snowed Under … Figuratively, of Course
This is a relatively short blog – with the primary purpose of advising that Decy, my mom, and I have returned to Jakarts from our extended weekend in Jogjakarta and Bali. I will write more this weekend when I can breath a little bit (catch up on work, finances, etc). In the meantime, overall it was a good experience and mom having many new experiences. One of the most memorable events was that she was able (on her own) to climb up to the top of Borobudur. For those who don’t know what Borobudur is … a quick “search” on the internet will immediately pop up pics. I estimate that Grandma Suzie climbed 10 flights of stairs …. as I counted 155 steps going up/down … many of which were 2x the size of USA steps … plus a long gradual uphill that was probably the equivalent of 2 flights.
As for work, we are quickly moving towards the January closing of the books … which will be a challenge given the new SAP accounting system. I am cautiously optimistic it will go relatively well. I am very optimistic that it will go MUCH BETTER than Angola’s 1st accounting close with SAP back in 2003.
Sorry this is short – but need to work on some other things …. I will write more later.
ciao ciao
