Accounting Close is Complete
We have closed the accounting books for January. It was imperative that we finish the close on Tuesday, which we did – although we were about 9 hours later than we had wanted to be. Overall, it was a good close (given that it was the first one with the SAP system) albiet a hard one. Since last Tuesday (over a week ago) I have averaged about 3.5-4 hrs/night of sleep (even Fri & Sat were only 5 hour nights). Even the last two nites have been only 4 hrs on Tuesday night and less than 3 hrs last night. Trying to work through some issues as well as decouple from work.
Grandma Suzie and Decy are now at the Singapore airport, all checked in and heading to the gate for their flight back to the US. The flight leaves in 1 hr. There is a plane change in Tokyo and they may or may not be able to use Decy’s handphone to send SMS from there. If not, then they will be in the “black hole” (as I call it) for about 22 hours – until they land in Chicago.
I understand that they made some more memories in Singapore. Aside from a gazillion trinkets, Grandma Suzie is also bringing back at least 24 Gig of pics and video. I fully loaded up a 16G and 8G jump drive … and Decy was supposed to put all the Singapore pics on a different 8G.
Thasya has a drama event at the school today at 3pm. I plan to attend. Thus, will need to leave the office at noon, come home, change, then go.
That’s all I can blog for now – have things I need to do.
ciao ciao
