The Lonely Blogger
What happened to the “good old days” when my sons had their own blog sites and kept them regularly updated? Paul’s site is DOA and has been for what feels like 2 years. Josh’s site hasn’t been posted to since 2 October. Chris’s site gets a posting about every 3-4 weeks. I tend to get (but not always) one line e-mails from my mother that asks “How are you?” I almost always get silence from my sister – except about every 3-4 months when I get an email update. Chely is hit and miss … but more “hit” lately (yeah Chely !!!!). But then, it seems like if I don’t blog for several days then I start getting pinged with questions RE whether or not I am alright.
Although I appreciate the caring and concern when I go silent … and its nice to know that at least somebody reads this stuff … it is also nice to hear from others to know how THEY are doing. So please, friends and family …. update your sites periodically … and/or send me some emails so that I know you are alive and well.
As of us in Indonesia, we continue moving forward. Decy is pressing quickly towards her grand opening …which is Tuesday 10-March (being as Monday is a holiday). She needs to take a few decisions on staff hiring today. Yesterday, Decy, friends, and family were actively engaging the staff that have been hired (and wanting to be hired) having them practice haircuts, massages, manicures, pedicures, etc ….. Decy’s nervous, but excited. Step-by-step the big day is coming for the salon.
For those that don’t know, the salon is on the 2nd floor of a two-story store in a strip center. The first floor is the other part of Decy’s and her family’s business – which is selling pre-paid phone cards and phone numbers. That aspect of the business is going well and making money and has very little involvement by Decy. Decy’s more active role is in the salon.
One nice thing about the salon is that it will build foot traffic into the store … which should also increase the phone card sales. Yeah !!!
As for me, I continue moving forward in my SAP Start-up Manager position. It is a very hectic and stressful time. First, we are now moving into the monthly accounting close … and will be faced with very long (perhaps 18 hr) work days until Tuesday. Second, some of the organizational redesign that should have been in place in early February has been delayed resulting in a bit of a) resource constraints, and b) lack of clarity / guidance / leadership. This situation is compounded by the fact that my position is going away by 1-May and the Start-up Team starts demobilizing at the end of March …. sooooo …… the clock is ticking.
Not much else is going on in the Morgan clan …. looking forward to hearing from YOU.
ciao ciao

Don’t know about anyone else but when I read how busy you are and knowing you don’t get much sleep, I don’t want to bother you with trival stuff. Just know you are much loved (Decy too) and thought about daily.
