By Golly “Girl” is Right
There is “up and Adam” and then there is “up and at ‘em”. Of course, when you have been up most the night and are struggling just to sit in the chair and keyboard something meaningful on to the blog …. the difference between Adam and at ‘em becomes a blur. Not that today is much better for me … but, there is a psychological framework difference. [Note: Stacy - thanks for reading my blog. Its nice to know there are people looking at it]
The last two business days have been a real blur …. I have been working later into the evenings and going “faster and faster” at work to handover my current position, moving issues forward on SAP startup, and ramping up activities for my new position. I’ve been coming home late and barely making it to the dinner table (usually around 830 or 9). On Monday night, Fati gave me a back massage and I dozed off while sitting up (and almost fell off the footstool). Then Tuesday night, she gave me a foot massage. I laid back in the chair in the living room while she did her good work – some time around midnight Decy woke me up and helped me drag myself into bed. Of course, the alarm went off at 315am.
The handover of my SAP responsibilities has now officially occurred. All authorities transferred as of midnight Tuesday night / Wednesday morning (depending on your perspective). Thus, as of today I am just … hmm … just what am I? I am not really sure as we are still trying to clarify my title. The announcement said “Planning and Commercial Advisor – Indonesia Affiliates”. However, the organization chart says “Planning and Commercial Specialist”. While my current work permit says “Financial Specialist” and the department I work for is “Planning, Land, and Commercial – Indonesia Affiliates … and I am an advisor to the whole department. So, what is in a name? Guess I will find out soon.
As for today, I have several meetings and some “clean up” to do. I hope to leave work early and take a quick nap before doing a little bit of celebrating tonight. There are a bunch of us that are going to CJs tonight – current plan is 5 ladies and 2 men (including me) – to a) celebrate the end of my SAP assignment, b) participate in “ladies” night, and c) take advantage of Thursday being a holiday. Friday I leave for Houston.
Decy has been incredibly busy on her salon and working the detail on the car sales/purchases. On the salon she had 4 or 5 customers each of Monday and Tuesday. While that doesn’t sound like a lot – it reflects a continual ramp up in customer traffic. During the first two weeks Mondays & Tuesdays have typically had no or 1 customer. Decy is pleased with her business and continues to look for ways to promote it. I am excited for Decy and support her efforts on this.
At this point, I am not sure what more I can blog about without coming across as rambling. So, I will close for now … ciao ciao

You should call me when you’re in the US. I have an interesting proposition for you. How does a US phone number sound? With a VERY minimal investment (by very, I mean the cost of a phone line) I can provide US phone numbers (615 area code) to anywhere in the world. Ah, the beauty of working in telecom!
