I Think I am Getting Old(er)
What ever happened to the days of being able to work 15-18 hours day after day after day … for weeks if necessary and never wearing out. Well – I did wear out, but it seemed like my endurance was almost limitless. Guess that was when I was much younger. After working through the weekend, I got up bright and early yesterday and headed to the office and was at my desk at 6am. Worked non-stop with no lunch – which is typical for me – but suddenly found myself completely out of energy at 7pm. I muddled through until 745pm … then headed home. Ate dinner. Then went to bed. Up at 3am … to try it again.
For the avoidance of doubt, however, for all intents and purposes, I have only had one day off since I went to Bali in early June … and that was the day after we pulled an all nighter at Club Mistere …. sooooo …. I guess I am holding up pretty well. Neverthless, I am looking forward to enjoying at least some of the 3 day weekend coming up this weekend (Monday the 20th is a holiday).
Today I will have two companions in the car with me … on my way to work. Thasya needs to go to the US Embassy to interview for a new VISA and Decy will be accompanying her. They have to be there at 7am and the embassy is close to my office. Thus, we will ride together.
BTW, on Friday last week our office had “bring your child to work” day. Thasya spent the morning with me. It was nice to have her there so that she could see some of the things that I do. However, I think she found it VERY BORING. Nevertheless, I did enjoy the extra time with her.
Grandma Suzie is still in the hospital but is doing well. They are still running tests to ensure they understand the root cause. She is beginning to dislike the hospital food … soooo …. she must be feeling pretty good. Keep her in your prayers.
I need to close this blog and take care of some other things.
Ciao ciao. GBU.
