Happy Birthday Josh – 24 YO
Happy Birthday Joshua Daniel Morgan !!! Hard to believe you are 24 years old. [Of course, that parallels with the fact that I have been employed by the same company for 24 years and 1 month.] I am very proud of you, love you very much … and wish all the success and happiness (not necessarily in that order of importance) with Liz, Daniel, and Alex.
Thanks God today is Friday … and double thanks that it is a 3-day weekend. However, that doesn’t mean I will enjoy 3 days off. In fact, I will work at least two of them (Saturday and Monday) in the office and may work one from home. Sadly, it is planning time and there is so much to do. Overall, our plan is coming together well and we are in pretty good shape. However, we do have a couple of challenge areas that are going to eat our lunch for the next two weeks. Those are the areas I have to tackle.
On a personal note, our landlord is doing some renovations in our house as part of the 2 year extension on our lease. One item is a new A/C for Nathasya’s room – she’s very happy about that. Another item includes repainting some of the rooms. They are currently working on the entryway … which has a 20 foot ceiling. To reach the ceiling they built a bamboo platform that extends from the upstairs railing (folks that have visited us can visualize) all the way to the front windows (15-20 feet above floor level). To keep the platform from tipping over, they have two big (8″ diameter) bamboo poles going vertically from the entryway floor to the ceiling. Overall, its pretty solid. BUT, there is no way you would ever catch me on bamboo scaffolding. Uh hu … no way … ain’t gonna do it … don’t even want to watch the workers …. just imagine them crawling out on their platform …. and it flexes and bows with their weight. Ugh.
Well folks, I need to close this blog. I am running behind and need to take care of some things before going to work.
Ciao ciao. GBU.
