Overtime Game / Happy Birthday Chely !!
RE Work: Ahhh … so much for the “home stretch” … went into Monday in very good shape and it was a good thing. As we were milling around in the Planning database the system was incredibly slow … my guess is it was everybody who was late in entering data – trying to cram it into the system at the last minute. Thus, we only did a few tweaks and then began letting the clock tick out.
In this type of activity it is almost 100% certain that something will go wrong – only question is … when, what, and are you going to be able to handle it? Sure enough … just like clock work … only 5 hours before we go into systems lockdown we receive an email regarding an error on some data fed to us … that we had also fed into the system. The communications was largely incomplete and without adequate explanation -and making the changes they suggested were impossible in the timeframe we were given. Response: Thanks, but no thanks. Too late. Nevertheless, we began researching the issue.
Then, on Tuesday morning we had to make a change on our volumes (management request) and we had to make some adjustments because of the late Monday issue. Fortunately, we were able to cram both adjustments into the system before 8am CDT Tuesday – which was acceptable given that one of the changes was requested by HQ.
Thus, the Plan is largely complete for Indonesia except for the preparation of our final presentation and addressing any emerging questions / issues. This was like a championship game that went into double overtime. Thankfully, we made it – and in good shape.

Thasya is making preparations for her weekend trip to Bangkok with her choir group. She is really excited about this – and we are excited for her.
I need to close this blog as there are several things I need to do. Take care.
