Big Day for Georgie
As my family and close friends know already – today is the big day for Georgie and his surgery. It came as a surprise last night – albiet a good surprise. Please keep Georgie in your prayers as this surgery is absolutely critical to his leading a normal life. Pray for him (strength and healing), the doctors (wisdom and skill, and the family (strength and patience). I will post again as soon as I know something.
For Courtney and any others who might wonder about my vacation. #1 – I will take my December 2009 vacation. #2 – I will take my May 2010 vacation. I will be a good little soldier and try to work through the approvals. But, at the end of the day, I will not let my plans be undermined by a person that can’t take a decision. I am an Expat and vacations must be planned months in advance. PERIOD.
On a different topic, Decy received a call from the PR dept of our dry cleaners. They gave her the same run-around and said there was nothing they could or would do about the shirts they have ruined. Decy said “that fine. I will come collect the shirts, and then I will put in ad in the paper telling the public about your lousy service.” The PR guy just brushed her off. I don’t think they understand that she really means it. Decy’s a nice person. But, when she is angry …. ooooooo watch out !!!!
