Step-by-Step

Sorry for the lapse in blogging (again). I had tried blogging last Friday but for some reason the site was down or not accessible. Not really sure which. Anyway – that’s life ….

Decy went to the orthodontist last Friday and had the impressions made for her retainer. As I understand it, her braces come off this Friday and then she will begin using the retainer. I still don’t know much about the retainer … I just know she is very excited about the braces coming off. Then, I think it is around the 26th that she gets the crown on her 2nd (and last) dental implant. That should pretty much wrap up her dental work – not sure what type of check up schedule she will be on. We are planning to go to 4 Seasons brunch next Sunday to celebrate.

Overall, Decy had a pretty good week at the salon – especially during the week. But, the weekend was a bit slow (surprisingly). We had thought she would be busy between Valentine’s Day and Chinese New Year (both on Sunday). But, it was quite the opposite. However, the overall week was good. Thus, we think that most customers must have come in before the holiday.

I was at the salon on Sunday and got to see Georgie. He’s looking pretty good and Decy says he is crawling, although I haven’t seen that yet. This is a pretty exciting time for him as his life begins to normalize after his surgeries. He’s now less scared of people although the still gets a bit nervous when he sees me.

As for me, I am plodding along. Work is clearly keeping me very busy during the week and I usually work some on the weekend. This past weekend, though, I couldn’t get motivated and somehow the time just slipped away. Although I stayed busy, I just couldn’t get any work done. On Saturday I slept in as I was incredibly tired – got up at 930 am then had a massage from 11-1pm. Afterwards, I did some work on the computer until Decy came home. Saturday night we watched two of the Underworld movies that Josh loaded on our PS3. We watched them out of sequence – we think because (perhaps) Josh titled them wrong. Last week we saw the 2nd one. Then Saturday we saw the 3rd and 1st in that order.

On Sunday, Decy went to church and I ran on the treadmill. I did not have a lot of strength and seemed to struggle most of the way – or at least, it felt like that for me. I did ok the 1st hour and completed 10 kms in 61 minutes – which was pretty good. However, there wasn’t much energy left and I finished up at 16.1 kms in 100 minutes. Total calories burned was 920. While this may seem like a lot / long distance, I was hoping to break through 16.5 kms in the 100 minutes. While the difference doesn’t sound like much …. it really is (for me) when you realize it means that I have to run three 5 km splits in just over 30 minutes each. My age is showing ….

Well, I don’t know what else to blog about. Life is pretty boring right now – long hours of work during the week, followed by a weekend at home.

Ciao ciao. GBU.

Technically, Rise of the Lycans is a prequel to the other movies, but it came out last. We tend to watch things in their release order instead of the movie time line, as our presumption is that it was intended that way. Did you guys like the movies?

Yes!! I loved that movie.. =)but, dad fell asleep.. heehhehee.. and missed the first movie..

I knew Josh choose the good movie for us.. thanks Josh !!
